ABOUT

Danny is an Australian artist who creates abstract sculptures using plywood and bronze.

He works in a Biomorphic style, in which abstract designs are created with curves and contours reminiscent of human and other organic forms in order to give sculptures organic, lifelike qualities.

The intent is not necessarily to recreate the physical shapes of forms found in the natural world but to replicate organic textures and undulating fluid surfaces in order to evoke an organic feel.

The sculptures have been designed to evoke a kinetic quality with twisting curved forms that flow as you move around the pieces. Elements appear pushed and pulled in various directions, as in a communal dance, in order to create a dynamic effect
